ICOM International Committee for Museums and Collections of Archeology and History realizes an annual conference each year with a different theme. For 2020, before the pandemic, we intended to meet in Bogotá for our annual conference. There we planned to discuss and share our experiences relating to Contested Histories in Archaeological and Historical Museums. Even though it was impossible to meet in person, we would like to get together virtually before this year ends. That’s why we are pleased to invite you to participate in the Contested Histories Pre-Conference. This event will take place on the 26th of November at 4 pm Paris Time and will be held through the Zoom platform.

The purpose of the event is to share our perspectives and dialogue about those Contested Histories. This is going to be an opportunity for us to hear an advance of the future conferences, and to share our reflections on the subjects. We also would like to meet you face to face, even from afar, a rare luxury in these troubled times.
