Dear ICOM ICMAH Members,

ICOM ICMAH being inclusive of the largest two themes in museums is also one of the oldest international committees in ICOM, that aims to create a network of communication, to organize events such as conferences, seminars, workshops for museum professionals and to realize publications to diffuse the knowledge about all aspects on museology and museography of archaeological and historical museums and collections worldwide. We seek to achieve an active collaboration, a polyphonic communication and a democratic milieu for sharing experiences in history and archaeological museums.

Every 3 years all the International Committees are obliged to perform an election to the IC Board. In this regard, all ICOM ICMAH are invited to join ICOM ICMAH Board Elections for the 2022-2025 terms. The actual Board of ICMAH is constituted of 5 people but during the General Assembly of ICMAH, the actual board will propose a “New Internal Code” to vote where the board will be proposed of 7 members to distribute better the necessary work. The Board of ICMAH is formed of;

• Chair
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Regular Members (4)

This term the voting system is quietly different following the guidelines for the elections of the Board of ICOM International Committees. The members are invited to vote through a voting platform when the list of candidates who wishes to join the board Here, and their full curriculum vitae is Here. The voting process will start from 20th July till 1st August 2022, please follow the LINK. The election results will be announced on August 2022 during the General Assembly in Prague, Czech Republic.
